Creating A Glamorous Upper East Side Home For A Young Family
Proving one need not sacrifice style for family-friendly design, a sprawling three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment gets a dose of glamour for a couple with two young children on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
The wife, a former fashion executive and emerging artist, and husband, a finance executive, purchased the apartment, which had been combined from two smaller apartments by the previous owner. They desired a glamorous and stylized decor capable of withstanding the demands of two high-energy young ones.
My design plan sought to incorporate pops of bold color reflective of their Indian and Jamaican heritages in an otherwise neutral and warm space.
