A gut-renovation mixes high-style and practicality in a space built for two (plus one on the way).
My clients purchased this two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with a large backyard garden in Greenpoint, Brooklyn with an eye towards gut renovating the space. The apartment had not been updated in many years, with poor quality finishes and an under-utilized floor plan.
I re-organized the layout to create a loft-like open plan living/dining space, with a significantly expanded kitchen for the couple who thoroughly enjoys preparing gourmet meals for friends and family. Finishes for the master bath were chosen with both luxury and practicality in mind, with a stunning polished marble mosaic feature wall paired with low maintenance faux-Thassos porcelain tiles. The custom vanity features handles by Du Verre, The guest bath was enlarged, with a budget friendly vintage-industrial design style requested by the clients
